Now that you are a Minecraft pro, it's time to step up your game. Here's a guide to show how you can get the best visual and gameplay experience possible. We use a combination of OptiFine and like a billion Forge mods. You may choose to follow this guide, which details the easiest way to get everything installed, or you may manually install the mod loader and all mods.
🛑 You must have Java 17 (MUST BE JDK 17) installed to proceed with either option. Do this first!

This method will get the game setup with the right mods in the least amount of steps. This is the method Alice recommends you use.
Prism Launcher is a open-source software that allows you to manage multiple Minecraft installations among other cool things. It also makes it really easy to install 99% of our mods, grouped together in a modpack called Valhelsia 6. It's been around for a while, and most importantly has a button you can push to see a cute kitty. 🐈⬛

During Installation, you will be asked to choose which version of Java to use. Make sure it is using javaw.exe associated with Java 17. But at the bottom you'll need to up the Maximum memory allocation to 4GB(4096MB) to play with all our mods. You might even go higher.
You should change your maximum Java memory allocation to be at least 5GB.
You will also be required to hook up your Microsoft account. The launcher will prompt you to do this. You can do this right now, or later from the Settings Menu, under Accounts, or you can wait to do it upon first launch when you'll be prompted to do so. Either way, this is something you'll need to do, but only once.
